Wedding is not only a union for two people; this is the most important event for couples who will start living their lives together as Husband and Wife- as partners! Every couple will prepare for the wedding gown, wedding cake, foods, decorations, souvenirs, and the wedding venue of course. But wait! Can you imagine the event without music playing?

The dress may look fabulous, the ceremony may end perfectly, everyone has their wedding favors, but when it comes to the reception and you realize that music is nowhere to be found and all you hear are people mumbling, utensils clashing at the plates and tables and chairs screeching… you’ll realize there is something that you never invited – DILEMA!

Being the newly wed couples, you don’t want others to have the impression that you just invited them to eat. It’s your wedding day and you deserve to be the star of the show. That is why you should prepare a list of songs that you want to be played for the bridal dance and list of songs to be played for the background music while you and your guests are dining.

So if you don’t want to have regrets about your wedding event, read the following tips:

  • For the bridal dance choose your music to be suitable for a slow, romantic dance, don’t choose fast music so you can save yourselves from being so tired for the honeymoon!
  • You can have dance lessons before the actual wedding so you will not look awkward dancing in the middle of your guests.
  • It is important for you guys to sit down and listen for the lyrics of the songs you intend to play and choose the one’s that means a lot to you and your relationship’s story. Don’t just pick the new songs as it may only sound romantic but the lyrics convey a break up story.
  • Search online or burn cd’s with you favorite songs (but please don’t do piracy) so you can customize your wedding music with a personal touch.
  • For the reception background music, choose songs that you and your friends can relate to. They have been a part of your lives so they deserve to enjoy the wedding with you as well.
  • For the party music, choose upbeat songs, as much as possible look for the latest party song to create a lasting party mood.

When it comes to wedding preparations, couples often overlook the wedding music. With lots of things in mind it is usual to forget planning about the music to be played for the wedding dance. But don’t let your month’s preparation end up in disaster. Planning for what music to play is not hard at all. If you really don’t have the time to look for your wedding music, ask your best friend or your closest relative to do it for you… but make sure to review it before the wedding!
